The Rev. Tara Humphries wrote a nonsensical and inherently contradictory letter on Oct. 15 (“We must fight the religious right“), opposing the currently popular bogeymen “white Christian nationalism and evangelical ideology,” while falsely claiming that she and other “progressive people of faith” actually “keep our faith to ourselves.”
At Humphries’ church, they write letters to voters promoting their progressive beliefs and wanting those faith commitments to “be stronger” than those she opposes. How is that keeping their faith to themselves?
