Independents represent a third of the electorate. Most Republicans will vote for Donald Trump, most Democrats for Kamala Harris. How independents vote will determine the outcome. As an independent, I view this as an opportunity and responsibility. I would prefer more options, but realistically we have only two meaningful choices: Harris or Trump.

Donald Trump is a doddering, divisive, grievance-obsessed narcissist seeking retribution. He refuses to accept facts he doesn’t like. He threatens to halt climate initiatives, deport millions, disrupt critical alliances and create tariffs hurting low- and middle-income Americans while backing tax breaks for billionaires.

Harris is rational and stable. A former prosecutor, she’s right on law and order. She’s right on reproductive choice. She’s right on the environment and immigration. She’s right on a fair tax system. And she’s of a new generation, a positive new beginning. We can do this: Vote for Harris.
