Rev. Clive S. Meidahl

OLD ORCHARD BEACH – The Rev. Clive S. Meidahl passed to his eternal home with Christ our Lord on the Lord’s Day, Sunday Oct. 6, 2024.

Born in Cabri, Saskatchewan, Canada on June 5, 1931, Rev. Meidahl immigrated to the United States to attend Northpoint Bible College (formerly Zion Bible Institute) from which he graduated in 1957.

On Sept. 7, 1957, he married Anna Farren of Cherryfield, also a graduate of Northpoint Bible College. They returned to Maine to begin his first pastorate in Guilford. Rev. Meidahl served honorably as an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God for over 50 years. He served in Guilford, East Millinocket, Old Orchard Beach, Oneonta, N.Y., Pompano Beach, Fla., Easton and Harrington.

Additionally, Rev. Meidahl served as Director of Alumni Relations at Northpoint Bible College (formerly Zion Bible Institute). If asked, Rev. Meidahl would tell you that his mission to the indigenous peoples of Northern Canada became his unique passion in ministry, making several mission trips.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Meidahl of 67 years; his son, Stephen Meidahl, his daughter-in-law, Brenda Meidahl, his daughter, Kari Meidahl Morin, his son-in-law, Chris Morin; his granddaughters Taylor Burns and Hannah Meidahl, and his grandsons Daniel Ernst and Nathan Meidahl.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Lighthouse Assembly of God on Friday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. and officiated by the Rev. Dr. Stephen O. Meidahl of First Church of Waterville and Rev. Merle Mitchell of Faith Lighthouse Assembly of God. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Homes, Saco are respectfully handling the arrangements.
