I’m supporting Stacy Brenner for reelection to the Maine Senate for several reasons. Here is one of the main ones: As a resident of Scarborough, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it has become for families and seniors on fixed incomes to afford housing amid rising costs. Brenner has been a strong advocate for affordable housing, working to increase the number of units and bring prices down for renters and buyers alike, so people can live close to their places of work and schools.
She supports the Housing First initiative, which provides both housing and essential wrap-around services for our most vulnerable neighbors.
Sen. Brenner’s leadership is what District 30 needs to make affordable housing a reality for all. Please join me in voting for her this November.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
