Mary Curran Huntley

PORTLAND – Mary Curran Huntley, 69, of Portland, lost a long and courageous battle with cancer on July 1, 2024, surrounded by love. Born in Washington, D.C., she began a 50-year career in cosmetology here in Portland, working until a few months of her passing.

She was an avid skier who loved Pleasant Mountain, Kezar Lake, the ocean, and time with the gang in Rangely. Mary was a proud mother and grandmother who loved to meet for lunch or brunch with her family. She was known as the “hostess of the mostess.”

She leaves her son Ryan and a large, loving family who will miss her dearly.

Friends and relatives are invited to a time of visitation Sunday July 7, 2024, from 1-3 p.m., followed by a service of remembrance starting at 3 p.m., at Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland. A reception will follow at 3:30 p.m., at Bruno’s Restaurant, 33 Allen Ave., Portland.
