Myra “Nickie” (Sherman) Winslow

BOOTHBAY – Myra “Nickie” (Sherman) Winslow, 84, died June 25, 2024 in Cape Elizabeth after a long illness.

Born March 9, 1940 in Boothbay, she was the daughter of Ethel M. and Edwin Sherman. She attended Boothbay Harbor, Portland and Scarborough schools.

Nickie worked in the Boothbay Region Elementary School cafeteria for 29 years and cleaned seasonal homes in the summer months.

She enjoyed cooking, camping, country music, walking and exercise classes at the YMCA. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, friends and community.

Nickie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Laurie Taylor (Steven) of Danville, N.H., Scott Winslow of Westbrook, Darren Winslow (Kathleen) of Portland, her stepchildren, Lynn Jennison of Bath, Alan Winslow (Debra) of Windsor, Kim Winslow (Michael) of Sydney, Lee Ann (Douglas) of Wiscasset; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and stepsister, Nancy Wheeler of Farmington.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Matthew A. Hodgdon and husband, Herbert C. Winslow.
