The Republicans, MAGAs, and even Sen. Collins are calling the conviction of Trump a political stunt.
Not a stunt, but it was political in the best sense of the word. The prosecution met all the requirements to move it forward. Both the prosecution and the defense worked to select 12 jurors. Both the prosecution and defense had their time in court. When done, the case was sent to the jurors, for whom the defense had the opportunity to select. Those 12 jurors all agreed 34 times that Trump was guilty.
Twelve jurors over 34 times results in over 400 individual decisions and where all those 400-pus individual decisions came out “guilty”.
That is politics in the best definition of the word. Shame on Sen. Collins!
