Yvonne M. Gallucci

NAPLES, Fla. – Yvonne M. Gallucci passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 after a brief illness at North Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Fla. surrounded by her children. She was born at 92 Green St., Biddeford, to Albert Chretien and Albertine (Brulotte) Chretien on May 13, 1927.

She graduated from St. Josephs High School with eight classmates in 1946. In 1947 she married her high school sweetheart Adrien R. LeBlond. They raised six children, Jeannine Jarry (Donald), Daniel LeBlond (Margaret), Mel LeBlond, Joseph LeBlond (Nancy), Marc LeBlond (Kelly) and Cecile Deshaies (Phil). She has 13 grandchildren, Julie, Jeff, Andre, Alice, Mel, James, Jessica, Sean, Allison, Adrien, Roxanne, Bernie and Michelle; and 25 great grandchildren.

After Adrien passed away, she married Danny M. Gallucci, the second love of her life, in 1987. They were Florida residents and snowbirded to Maine every summer. They especially enjoyed their time at Bonny Eagle Lake in Buxton with family and their time at Imperial Bonita Estates, a retirement community in Bonita Springs, Fla. Papa “G” passed away in 2014.

She was employed as a secretary before she married Adrien. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for LeBlond’s Radio and TV. She also worked for the State of Maine and was a secretary at Maremont Corporation/Saco Defense for many years. She operated an alteration business out of her Florida home.

She was a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 309, and a band booster for the St. Louis High and Biddeford High School bands. She loved to sing and sang for many years in church choirs at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford and at St. Williams Church in Naples, Fla. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Daughters of Isabella.

At Imperial Bonita Estates, she enjoyed square dancing and playing cards, especially “31.” She participated in the Annual IBE Craft Fair and the “Makin’ Waves Choir.” She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting and collecting sea shells. She was an “Ace” at playing Scrabble and loved challenging her children and grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by her parents Albert and Albertine Chretien; her son, Mel LeBlond; her sister, Rita LeBlond, two brothers, Victor “Mel” Chretien and his wife Blanche, and Robert “Bob” Chretien.

She is survived by her sister Jeannine “Jan” Johnson of Windsor Locks, Conn., her brother. Normand Chretien and his wife Bonnie of Ottawa, Ill., and her sister-in-law, Lorraine Chretien; her five children; and many nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 178 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 120 West St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
