Carolyn Hallett
LAKELAND, Fla. – Carolyn Hallett, 90, of Old Orchard Beach and Wells, and Lakeland, Fla., passed away on April 15, 2023. She was born on Aug. 24, 1932, to parents Harry and Emily Hallett of Old Orchard Beach.
Carolyn’s first job was handing out pennies at the penny arcade in Old Orchard Beach. Carolyn had an impressive career as a certified nurse’s aide and home health aide for 50 years. Later, working at Publix handing out samples. Carolyn was a dedicated volunteer at Lakeland Regional Centers Cancer Center and donated over 10 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross over the years.
Carolyn is survived by her son, John Burke of Boston, Mass.; her daughter, Julia Nolette and her husband Richard and son Mason from Biddeford; her daughter, Kathleen Michaud, her husband Gerard, and their children Shawn, Raymond, Kelly, Miles, Molly, and Andy of Limerick. She is also survived by her niece, Priscilla and her wife Caroline of Rhode Island, her nephew, Stephen Felker and his wife Francine of Old Orchard Beach; Jillian Sawyer of Bath; and her grandson, William Burke of Bath; as well as great-grandchildren Ephriam and Petra
Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Emily; her daughter, Julia, her sons James and Donald; her grandson, Kenny; her boyfriend, George Mahoney; and her felines Smokie and Princess.
Carolyn was a member of the Unitarian Universalists of Lakeland, Fla.
