Edina “Ann” Thompson
PORTLAND – Edina “Ann” Thompson, 89, on March 29, 2023, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the Barron Center. She was the daughter of Melvin and Dorothy Thompson.
She was predeceased by brothers Melvin of California, John of Massachusetts, Peter and sister, Dorothy Alves of Maine. She was also predeceased by son, Chester, and daughter, Bette Jordan.
She is survived by son, Stephen Nason and wife Kelly of Gorham; grandchildren Theresa (Jordan) and Charles Waters of Gorham, Stephene and Matthew Scott of Texas, Joshua and Amanda Jordan of Buxton, Abigail and Kathryn Nason of Gorham; great-grandchildren, Charles Jordan, K-la and Evan Scott, Arianna, Reiley, and Jamison Jordan.
Ann worked at Maine Medical Center in the Environmental Service Department from the early ’70s until she fully retired in 2007. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and decorating her surroundings for the different holidays.
She has been a resident at the Barron Center for several years after an injury left her with limited mobility. She was well liked by staff and other residents. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going out on excursions with the Barron Center.
