Gretchen F. LeRoyer

FALMOUTH – Gretchen F. LeRoyer, 91, of Falmouth, formerly of Ipswich, Mass., passed away at her home in Maine

She was born August 3, 1931, in Newton, Mass., one of twin daughters to F. Stuart and Natalie Sheldon Friend, is a graduate of Newton Public Schools, and received her undergraduate degree from Centenary Junior College in Hackettstown, NJ. Together with her sister, they graduated from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Boston.

Gretchen was employed as a registered nurse with the former Caldwell Nursing Home in Ipswich, Mass.

She was predeceased by her twin sister, Susan Friend Lane, who passed away in 2019 and brother Frank S. Friend.

Survivors include her son Jon D. LeRoyer of Raymond, daughter Gretchen LeRoyer of Ipswich, Mass.; three grandchildren Willard H. Dame, Timothy S. LeRoyer and Sarah N. Lunt; four great-grandchildren: a brother William Friend and a sister Judith Friend Strohm.

A Graveside service will be held at a later date at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester, Mass.
