KENNEBUNK – Residents will get the chance to meet and greet finalists for Kennebunk town manager position on Wednesday, Nov. 16. The town has narrowed the search and is hosting a community reception 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The meet-and-greet will take place in the town hall auditorium, 1 Summer St.
Kennebunk is working with Texas-based Strategic Government Resources, a national recruiting firm hired in June.
The board received about 40 applicants for the town manager position as of the Sept. 28 deadline. The field was narrowed to a field to semifinalists and now, to finalists.
Town Manager Mike Pardue announced in January he planned to retire from his Kennebunk position. He is scheduled to begin a new job as Wells town manager on Nov. 14.
Public Works Director Bryan Laverriere has been appointed Kennebunk’s acting town manager.
