Harvey Lawrence Jenkins Jr.

BEVERLY HILLS, Fla. – Mr. Harvey Lawrence Jenkins Jr., 79, of Beverly Hills, Fla., died Sunday, June 19, 2022 in Lecanto, Fla.

He was born April 24, 1943 in Bangor, son of Harvey and Marie (Dowling) Jenkins. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War era. Mr. Jenkins worked as an equipment installer for the telephone company and moved to Florida 20 years ago.

He enjoyed playing golf, loved woodworking, enjoyed the ocean, and most of all he loved spending time with his family. Harvey was a good natured, humble, modest man who always had a positive attitude (unless there was traffic) and was known to say to others “Relax”.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #155, Crystal River, participated in the Revolutionary War Reenactment Militia in Maine and volunteered at the Crystal River State Park.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by companion, Betty Lovely; daughter Lisa (Joseph) Tanguay of Maine, son, Todd Jenkins of Florida; brothers David (Serena) Jenkins and Alan Jenkins all of Maine; two grandchildren, Hallie (Adam) Talbot and Josie Tanguay all of Maine; four great-grandchildren, Ava, Hazel, Henry and Fynley; and Buddy the cat.
