BATH — Bath United Methodist Church and the Neighborhood Church have joined efforts to create “The Warm Fuzzies,” a donation program providing winter clothing for those in need.
The organizations are collecting new or gently worn outerwear, including hats, coats, gloves/mittens, new socks, snow pants and sleeping bags. All clothing items must be clean. Donated clothes can be dropped off at the Methodist Church from 9 a.m. to noon Monday to Wednesday.
The church will be wrapping items in cellophane and labeling them with sizes before bringing them to the Neighborhood Church for distribution. Clothes cannot be tried on before they are accepted by recipients.
Those in need of winter clothes can call Jodi at the Neighborhood Church at 443-2187.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
