BUXTON — A Buxton man was arrested Friday on assault and other charges after allegedly pushing two female Department of Health and Human Services workers.
Police officers from Saco and Buxton went to a home on Friday at 66 Town Farm Road to assist two DHHS workers in an investigation, according to a press release from Buxton Police. While officers and DHHS workers were at the residence, the home owner, George Casey, 63, arrived, according to police.
Buxton Police Officer William Blackwell tried to prevent Casey from entering the house, but he pushed past Blackwell and two female DHHS workers and attempted to get inside. The two women were injured, according to police.
Casey was arrested and charged with three counts of assault and one count each of domestic violence terrorizing and refusing to submit to arrest, according to police.
Casey was unable to make the $5,000 cash bail and was remanded to the York County Jail.
Casey is scheduled to appear at York County Superior Court on Oct. 2 at 12:45 p.m.
