
Members of the Sanford Police Department and their North Berwick counterparts paused for a photo with the Special Olympics torch. Sanford officers ran the torch to North Berwick and then joined people at Waban on Tuesday to mark the first leg of the Special Olympics Torch run. The torch will be run through various communities in York County and on throughout the state until reaching the University of Maine in Orono on Friday, June 7.
