ARUNDEL — Members of the York County community will have the opportunity to raise money for United Way of York County by test-driving a Ford vehicle.
Arundel Ford and United Way of York County are working together to help raise up to a maximum of $6,000 in support of the annual Tools4Schools backpack program as part of Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR Community program. For every person who test-drives a new Ford vehicle at this one-day event on April 5, the Ford Motor Company will donate $20, up to a maximum of $6,000, to United Way of York County’s Tools4Schools back program.
The valuable program supplies free backpacks filled with school supplies to more than 1,000 York County students before they return to school in the fall.
The event will be conducted from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 5.
Each test-drive will last about 10 minutes.
Arundel Ford is at 1561 Portland Road (U.S. Route 1), in Arundel.
No purchase is necessary, but drivers must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Test drives are limited to one per person.
