History of cemeteries 

Brenda Caldwell will speak on the history of Gorham cemeteries when Gorham Historical Society meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South St.

Caldwell is a retired town clerk and former chairwoman of the Gorham Town Council.

Seniors pizza party

The Lakes Region Senior Center, 40 Acorn St., is planning a pizza party at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 8.

“All of your favorite flavors will be there. Chips, ice cream and soft drinks to go along with it,” a group announcement said.

Those attending are asked to bring a favorite joke, limerick or short funny story to share with the group, along with an item for the food pantry. The cost of the lunch is $5.

U.S. taxpayer debt

The Bureau of the Fiscal Service reported on March 21 that the U.S. public debt was $22,028,692,383,333.10.
