OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Michael Albert Smith, 67, of Marine Drive, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born in Biddeford, March 31, 1951, the son of Albert and Pauline Cote Smith.
Michael graduated from Biddeford High School.
He was employed for over 43 years with General Dynamics (previously known as Saco Defense or Maremont).
Michael was raised at Hills Beach, and has lived in Old Orchard Beach for the last 45 years. He enjoyed waterskiing, boating, scuba diving, hunting, and skydiving.
Survivors include his loving wife Sheila Day Smith of Old Orchard Beach; a son Michael Joseph Smith and wife Kimberley of Ellsworth; three stepsons Paul Day of Biddeford, Todd Day and wife Casandra of Sanford and Danny Day of Virginia; a stepdaughter Barbara Winslow of Indiana; a sister Marie Jordan of Maine; and six grandchildren Caleb, Lundi, Harrison, Lauren, Liam and Audrey.
Friends and relatives may call Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 365 Main St, Saco. During the calling hours, for those who wish to attend a service it will be held at 5 p.m.
