SANFORD — Pratt & Whitney came to the new Sanford High School and Regional Technical Center recently to present the Sanford Schools Legacy Foundation with a $25,000 check to sponsor the Precision Manufacturing Lab.
Pratt & Whitney joins a local and regional effort with the goal of raising $2 million for the new school, said foundation President Alan Lampert.
So far, the Sanford Schools Legacy Foundation has raised more than $950,000 toward the campaign.
“It is exciting to be a part of building Sanford’s new Regional Technical High School”, said Patrick H. Regan, general manager of Pratt & Whitney’s North Berwick facility. “These students are the future for us and for our community; it is very rewarding to know Pratt & Whitney will be a part of their journey.”
“Pratt & Whitney was one of our earliest supporters in this community effort,” said Lampert. “ The company has been a long-time supporter of programming at the tech center, and this generous gift further strengthens our relationship with them.”
The Legacy Foundation heads up a capital campaign to raise $2 million for the infrastructure and equipment at the new high school, regional technical center, athletic facilities, and performing arts center.
