PORTLAND — New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland recently presented several awards at its annual Employee Appreciation Day celebrations.
Nancy Lizotte, CRRN, of Brunswick, received the Leadership Award, given to a member of the hospital’s leadership team who has made significant contributions during the prior year. The Leadership Award is decided by a vote of all employees of the hospital.
Over the course of her career at NERHP, Lizotte has been a staff nurse, charge nurse, Stroke Program leader, medical records compliance analyst, nurse manger, and in 2018, took on the role of chief nursing officer.
Her philosophy for the nursing staff has three prongs: Be good to each other, be good to the patients and be confident in your nursing.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
