Our beloved mother, Judy A. Beaulieu, age 66, passed away on June 27, 2018, surrounded by family and friends at her home in Harpswell, Maine. She was born in Bath, Maine, on May 20, 1952, the daughter of Eugene and Rena Frye.
Mom had a lifelong passion for cooking and baking for family and friends. Through her cooking and baking, “Chef Judy” brought happiness, love and comfort to all those she touched. She was the proud owner of Judy’s Joy Bakery in Phillips, Maine, before becoming the longtime dining room manager at Thornton Oaks Retirement Community in Brunswick, Maine.
Upon moving to a new home in Harpswell with her partner, Greg Hyde, she semi-retired and took a part-time position creating and preparing meals for the lunch program at Harpswell Coastal Academy. She truly loved her job at the academy serving the children and having time to garden at home while enjoying the beautiful coast of Maine with Greg. Mom will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will be long remembered for her gentle kindness, compassion, and generosity.
Mom is survived by her two sons, Steven and Randy Leask, and her two grandchildren, Colton (Drake) and Kenzie Leask. She also is survived by her five siblings, Gene, Warren, Mary, Debbie, and Brad.
Pursuant to her wishes, her ashes will be spread along the coast of Maine during a small private gathering.
