
SACO — The No. 3 Thornton Academy girls lacrosse team cruised to an 8-0 win over No. 6 Marshwood in the Class A South quarterfinals on Tuesday.
Addy Paradis led the way for TA with four goals.
Cat Henaire added one goal and one assist. Hannah McAlary, Mackenzie Basile and Alanna Pettaway also had one goal each in the win.
Dana Sirois stopped seven shots for the Trojans, who will play No. 2 Massabeisc in the regional semifinals on Saturday.

No. 7 Thornton Academy 4, No. 10 Noble 3
Chris Balzano came through with an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to send Thornton Academy to the next round of the playoffs.
Josh Lessard scored the winning run for TA, which will play No. 2 Gorham on Saturday in the quarterfinals.
Cameron Seymour had a two-run home run in the sixth to help TA rally from a 3-0 deficit.
William Shapleigh and Bryce Cantin had the only hits for Noble, which couldn’t figure out TA starter Brogan Searle-Belanger (six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings) or reliever Luke Chessie (two strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings).
