BATH — Maranacook dashed out to a 7-0 first-half lead and held on to down Morse, 10-5, in a girls high school jayvee lacrosse game on Friday.
Behind a solid defensive showing by Alison Donovan, Eliza McKenney, Paige Willis and Macey Coffin, the Shipbuilders got off the mat to outscore the Black Bears, 5-3, in the second frame.
Kylie Grendell had two goals in the loss, while Mary Larochelle, Grace Bingham and Keonna Moore chipped in a goal apiece.
Sophie Wilson made five saves in the Morse cage.
Courtney Davidson had four goals and two assists for Maranacook.
