A 24-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle and truck accident in Freeport on Friday afternoon.
Freeport police identified him as Matthew MacMillan, 24, but did not release his hometown. The driver of the truck was identified as Jonathan Thomas, 63. Police also did not release his address.
MacMillan was driving a motorcycle northwest on Desert Road about 3:15 p.m. while the truck, which was towing a boat trailer, was pulling onto the road from Exit 20 on Interstate 295 when the vehicles collided, police said.
Police did not say whether MacMillan was wearing a helmet. MacMillian was taken to Maine Medical Center where he died.
Thomas was not hurt.
The Desert Road overpass was closed for several hours while police investigated the crash.
