LISBON
Sean Scott ripped a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Lisbon High School baseball team to a 5-4 Mountain Valley Conference victory over Dirigo on Tuesday.
Scott was 3-for-4 for the Greyhounds, who improved to 3-0 and hosts Oak Hill today at 4 p.m. Cole Bolduc added two hits in the win.
The Greyhounds jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second, but Dirigo (2-2) clawed back, scoring one run in the fourth and fifth innings and claiming a 4-3 lead in the sixth.
Scott, Levi Levesque and Noah Austin combined on the mound for Lisbon with six walks, six hits and five strikeouts.
Cole Brown took the loss for Dirigo, going the distance on seven hits, five walks (two intentional) and two strikeouts. Cam Turner was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Ashton Kennison drove in the winning run with a fifth-inning double as the Vikings slipped past Brunswick in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference action.
The Dragons saw their two-game winning streak come to an end. Brunswick is 2-4 and hosts Mt. Blue on Friday at 4 p.m.
“One of those games that came down to who makes the big play,” said Brunswick coach Craig Rogers. “Both teams had their chances. We just fell short.”
Cam Daly pitched well in the loss, going the distance on four hits, three walks and four strikeouts. Wyatt Williams earned the win, pitching a complete game on five hits, one walk and two strikeouts.
Sam Sharpe and Noah Goddard each singled for the Dragons, while Zack Grant had a first-inning RBI single. Scout Masse was the lone repeat hitter with a pair of singles.

Jackson Walker’s RBI single in the seventh inning allowed the Shipbuilders to walk off with a KVAC win at Bath.
Morse improved to 2-3 and plays its third game in three days today at home against Leavitt (4 p.m.).
Parker Onorato led off the Morse seventh by reaching on an error. He stole second, moved to third on a fly ball and scored when Walker’s hit sailed over the head of the left fielder to end it.
Austin Magliozzi went six innings on the mound for Morse with eight strikeouts and two walks. Onorato picked up the win with one inning of scoreless relief.
Hunter Raedel was 3-for-3 with an RBI, run scored and three stolen bases for Morse, while Walker was 3-for-4, with Josh Doughty and Tyreik Foster chipping in two hits each.
Jordan Powell and Brent Stewart had two hits for Medomak Valley, while pitcher Ryan Creamer went all the way with two punchouts.

The host Eagles fell to 2-3 in KVAC play in Topsham.
Mt. Ararat visits Mt. Blue on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Tyler Parke had three singles and Noah Missbrenner two base-knocks for 6-0 Bangor.
Cam Grant singled twice and scored a run for Mt. Ararat, which also received a pair singles from Hunter Lohr.
Softball
BATH — Morse rebounded from its first loss on Monday with a 6-0 KVAC victory over Medomak Valley on Tuesday.
The Shipbuilders are 4-1 heading into today’s home contest with Leavitt at 4 p.m.
Morse scored four runs in the second inning and added a pair in the third to take control. Abby Carpenter launched a two-run home run, while Brook Kulis drove in a pair with single. Micailah Albertson, Kali Pierce and Julia Goddard each singled, while Dory Kulis doubled.
Dory Kulis earned the mound win, striking out 10 and walking one. She allowed just three hits.
Cassie Smelter, Abbie Nelson and Emily Wotton each singled for the Panthers.

The Greyhounds scored nine runs in the first inning to cruise to an MVC win over the Cougars.
Lisbon is 3-0 and slated to host Oak Hill today at 4 p.m.
Brittany Norman and Mallory Fairbanks went 2- for-2 and drove in two runs each for Lisbon, which took advantage of 10 walks.

Brunswick committed six errors in the second inning, leading to 10 runs as Camden Hills defeated Brunswick in a KVAC contest on Monday.
The Windjammers used two Brunswick errors in the first inning to build a 3-0 lead. Leadoff hitter Nicole Brown, who had two hits in the game, singled and stole second and third base before scoring on a misplayed bunt. Grace O’Connell (four hits) and Laticia Billings (two) scored in similar fashion for the Windjammers.
Brunswick rallied for two runs in the top of the second inning to narrow Camden Hills’ lead to 3-2. Morgan Plourde walked and scored as she was followed by Bailey Hartill, Tanisha McKenzie and Lily Mateus, who had base hits.
Amanda McFarland and Alyson Glasier also had two hits for the Windjammers. Guptill and Hartill singled twice for Brunswick. Shea Sullivan doubled to go along with a home run that cleared the right-field fence for the Dragons.

The Dragons fell to 0-5 with a KVAC setback at South Paris.
The Vikings tallied seven runs in the second inning to take control, and pitchers Lauren Merrill and Sydney Crooker combined on a two-hitter as Brunswick’s offense struggled.
Kaisa Heikkinen was the game’s lone repeat hitter. She doubled and scored three runs.
Sullivan and Bernier collected an infield hit each for the Dragons.
The Dragons visit Bangor on Thursday at 4 p.m.

In a makeup KVAC contest, the visiting Rams pulled ahead in the third inning en route to a win at Topsham.
Bangor pounded out 14 hits, with Olivia Hoover going 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Morgan Carter- Moulton, Madi Drake, Lexi Cunningham and Gabby Gonzales each had two hits.
Zoe Stilphen picked up two hits and scored two runs for Mt. Ararat, which fell to 0-4 and visits Mt. Blue on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Morgan Johnson suffered the mound loss, allowing four walks with three strikeouts.
Girls lacrosse
GARDINER — Colleen McKearney tallied five goals as 10 different scorers found the back of the net as Brunswick defeated Gardiner/ Hall-Dale, 17-4 in a Class B KVAC clash.
Brunswick’s Mikaela Aschbrenner turned away 15 shots in goal in the victory as the Dragons improved to 2-1.
Emily Coffin scored three goals, while Rian Sachs added two. Beth Labbe, Bronte Fontaine, Lila Solber, Amanda Cloutier, Katherine Hartnett, Emily Cloutier and Mackenzie Dorr each registered goals for the visitors.
The Dragons host Biddeford Thursday at 6 p.m.
Boys lacrosse
CAPE ELIZABETH — Phillip Tarling, Archie McEvoy and Finnegan Raymond each had two goals and two assists as Cape Elizabeth (2-2) rolled to a 13-1 Western Maine Conference win over Freeport.
The Falcons fell to 0-4 and hosts Waynflete on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Jacob Brydson chipped in three goals for the Capers, while Kaleb Barrett scored the lone goal for Freeport.
In goal, Falcons netminder Garrison Thompson made 25 saves.
“Tonight we finally played our game. We were passing and cutting on offense and our slide package on defense was where we were looking for it to be,” said Freeport coach Geoff Arris. “Unfortunately all the hard work didn’t result in a win on the scoreboard, but it resulted in a win for our team.”
