Alison McDougal has joined the American Red Cross of Maine as its chief development officer.

As the organization’s chief fundraising strategist, McDougal is responsible for the strengthening and diversification of the donor base, the expansion of major gift prospects, the successful execution of events and campaigns, and oversight of donor stewardship. She leads a statewide development team.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to further the humanitarian mission of the American Red Cross, an organization that accomplishes so much, thanks to the generosity of its donors and the power of its volunteers,” McDougal said. “It’s inspiring to work with colleagues, board members, volunteers and partners who are dedicated to helping people in need, whether it’s down the street, across town or around the globe.”
