HARTFORD, Conn.
The Hartford Yard Goats (10-9) scored three runs in the sixth inning, and beat the Portland Sea Dogs (6-12), 3-0 in six innings on Wednesday night at Dunkin’ Donuts Park.
Hartford scored its runs before the game was put in a rain delay and later called.
Mike Shawaryn (1-2) took the tough-luck loss for Portland. Shawaryn retired the first 12 batters before a single from Sam Hilliard in the fifth inning.
Jesus Tinoco (3-1) was credited with a complete game shutout, yielding three hits, one walk and fanning four over six innings.
