KENNEBUNKPORT — Members of the First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport, its Music Director, Joyce Painter Rice, and Interim Minister Rev. Jim Henry invite the public to attend a very special concert.

The concert will be performed by the student a cappela choir, the Fidelio Ensemble of Phillips Academy Andover of Andover, Massachusetts, conducted by Dr. Abbey Hallberg Siegfried, Instructor of Music and School Organist at Phillips Academy Andover.  It will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8 in the church sanctuary, 141 North St. in Kennebunkport.

There is no charge for the concert though free will donations will be gratefully accepted.

The Fidelio Ensemble is Phillips Academy Andover’s auditioned mixed a cappella choir. Fidelio’s 22 singers hail from every corner of the world and are between the ages of 14 and 18.

Many of the singers are top leaders in Phillip’s renowned musical community. Dr. Siegfried leads this talented, diverse ensemble in enthusiastic, high caliber performances. While on tour, the choir has performed in China, San Francisco, Spain, New York City and various New England venues.

Their wide-ranging repertoire of Renaissance, Baroque, classical and contemporary music includes arrangements of popular music and challenging works by living composers.

In addition to this concert and other events and suppers hosted by church members, the Rev. Jim Henry and congregation welcomes you to attend Sunday church service which begins at 9:30 a.m. Easter Sunday service at 9:30 a.m. April 1. All are welcome at First Church.

First Congregational Church is located 1.5 miles south of the Seacoast Trolley Museum where Log Cabin Road becomes North Street, next to Arundel Cemetery, and near the Kennebunkport Historical Society.

From Kennebunkport’s Dock Square area take Spring Street to a left on Maine Street to North Street and follow North Street to First Congregational Church on the right.
