Grant Lane, 51, faces a Class C felony criminal threatening charge, said York County Sheriff William King in a statement.
King said sheriffs deputies were dispatched to a Bong Springs Road residence at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday for a reported disturbance.
He said the caller, her boyfriend and her children fled the residence and contacted the sheriff’s office.
Other family members remained with Lane in the household, King said.
Lane was cooperative with deputies and was taken into custody. He is held without bail at York County Jail in Alfred, a corrections officer said Tuesday, and is scheduled to make a first appearance at Springvale District Court by video from the jail on Wednesday.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
