BATH — Cony erased a nine-point halftime deficit to edge Morse, 50-48 in girls high school jayvee basketball action recently.
Morse jumped out to a 15-5 lead after one quarter and held a two-point advantage after three before the Rams slipped past them.
Cony was led by Linelys Velazquez and her 18 points, followed by Kiara Henry and Julia Reny’s 15 and 13 points, respectively.
Cony was 11-for-23 from the charity stripe while Morse was 7-for-15.
Morse (4-12) was paced by the trio of Julia Goddard, Abby Carpenter and Hannah Gates, all scoring 10 points apiece. Abby Sreden scored six points and Lorelei and Kali Pierce split eight down the middle in the loss.
Morse concludes its season today at Camden Hills.
