SANFORD — Literacy Volunteers of Greater Sanford  announces that it has received a generous donation from The Fabulous Find Resale Boutique in Kittery in the amount of $7,678. The funds will be used to support the agency’s programs for adult learners.

The Fabulous Find, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is a boutique-style resale shop that partners with different worthy, local non-profit organizations each month. All profits are donated to the organizations selected by their board of directors for that month. Their overhead is low, and the more sales made, the bigger the check awarded at the end of the month. In order to make this community giving effort possible, volunteers log hundreds of hours each year.

Since opening in July 2010, The Fabulous Find has given more than  $1.1 million in donations to more than 40 non-profit organizations in York County and the Seacoast area.

To learn more about The Fabulous Find, see their website at www.thefabulousfind.org or call 439-8669.  Please “like” them on Facebook.

The shop is located at 139 State Road in Kittery and is open Monday-Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  They carry gently used clothing, jewelry and home accessories.
