NASHUA, N.H. — Saint Joseph’s College (13-1, 6-0 GNAC) defeated Rivier University (0-9, 0-5 GNAC), 91-50, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women’s basketball contest on Saturday afternoon.
Junior guard Julia Champagne of Brunswick led four SJC players in double digits with 19 points, and junior guard Kelsi McNamara notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists to help the Monks claim their 12th-consecutive victory, the fourth-longest winning streak in program history.
Saint Joseph’s outscored Rivier by a 28-11 margin in the first quarter and doubled up the Raiders, 48-24, in the third and fourth quarters combined en route to posting the team’s eighth win by 25 or more points this winter.
Champagne was 10-of-10 from the free-throw line and added four rebounds and three steals.
