SHAPLEIGH — Ellen M. McWha of Shapleigh, Maine died peacefully in her sleep Dec. 20, 2017 at the age of 76.
Ellen is survived by her daughter Michelle Landry; son-in-law George Landry; daughter-in-law Susan Meggison; her grandchildren Kyle Sisson, Michael Vangelist and wife Kayla. Robert, Andrew, George and Matthew Landry; several great-grandchildren; her siblings Gerry Woodyard, William and Charles McWha; and several nieces and nephews.
Ellen is preceded in death by her son David K. Sisson and Donald E Sisson of Lynn, Massachusetts.
Ellen was born on Dec. 21,1940 in Lynn, Massachusetts. She graduated from Lynn English High School in 1958 and went on to obtain her masters degree in Social Work. She retired from the Psychological Center in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 2005 where she specialized in Drug and Alcohol Counseling services. She was also a proud friend of Bill W. for 41 years.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6,2018 at Holy Family Church, 66 North Ave., Sanford, Maine.
