CONWAY, Ark. — Freshman Christian Lupoli and Trevor Knight each threw a touchdown pass and New Hampshire forced four turnovers Saturday to help upset fourth-seeded Central Arkansas 21-15 in the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

New Hampshire (9-4), which will play No. 5 seed South Dakota State (10-2) in the quarterfinals, had just 216 yards.

Jackson Housman gave UNH a 14-7 lead in the third quarter by returning an interception 56 yards for his first career touchdown. Hayden Hildebrand’s off-balance pass was deflected into the arms of Houseman, who raced down the left sideline.

Lupoli’s first career touchdown pass came with 7:19 remaining on Malik Love’s diving 9-yard score for a 21-9 lead. Central Arkansas (10-2) answered on its next play when Cedric Battle ran for a 78-yard score.

Central Arkansas started its final drive with 3:24 remaining at its 18 got to the UNH 36, but Jae’Wuan Horton’s strip-sack and Jared Kuehl’s recovery sealed it.

JAMES MADISON 26, STONY BROOK 7: Bryan Schor threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns, and defending champion James Madison (12-0)tied a Division I program record with five interceptions in a victory over Stony Brook (10-3) at Harrisonburg, Virginia.

KENNESAW STATE 17, JACKSONVILLE STATE 7: Chandler Burks and Darnell Holland scored touchdowns and visiting Kennesaw State (12-1) held third-seeded Jacksonville State (10-2) to 187 yards.

NORTH DAKOTA STATE 38, SAN DIEGO 3: Easton Stick threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, and second-seeded North Dakota State (11-1) rolled past San Diego (10-3) at Fargo, North Dakota.

SOUTH DAKOTA STATE 37, NORTHERN IOWA 22: Taryn Christion threw for three touchdowns and ran for another score to lead South Dakota State (10-2) over Northern Iowa (8-5) in Brookings, South Dakota.

WOFFORD 28, FURMAN 10: Blake Morgan had one touchdown rushing and another receiving, and seventh-seeded Wofford (10-2) defeated Southern Conference rival Furman (8-5) at Spartanburg, South Carolina.

SAM HOUSTON STATE 54, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE 42: Jeremiah Briscoe threw for four touchdowns – three to Davion Davis – and Corey Avery ran for two scores as sixth-seeded Sam Houston State (11-1) outlasted South Dakota State (8-5) in Huntsville, Texas.
