Editor,
I would like to mention the people of Poland Spring for donating bottled water for our firefighters and Emergency Medical Services personnel to consume while working at emergency scenes and trainings.
Our mission is a never-ending battle to serve the needs of our citizens in time of crisis which causes extreme physical heat stress and requires large amounts of clean drinking water. Dehydration during emergency operations is a major contributing factor in regards to heart attack and heat-related illness.
Special thanks goes out to Poland Spring for helping us prevent these types of occurrences in the future.
Please know that other charitable organizations may qualify to participate in the water donation program at Poland Spring.
