BIDDEFORD — The Biddeford volleyball team is heading to the state semifinals after they cruised to a 3-0 sweep of Portland in the Class A quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.

Biddeford, which won the sets on Saturday 25-15, 25-10, 25-14, will play at Scarborough on Wednesday. The first serve is set for 6 p.m.

Grace Martin led the way for the Tigers with 12 kills and four of the team’s 16 aces.

Biddeford would also get five kills and five combined aces from Grace Boisvert and Mia Martel.

Abby Kieckhause led Portland with six kills.
