BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick seventh- and eighth-grade football team won its playoff game this past weekend over Augusta, 30-16.
The win improved Brunswick to 7-2-1. The Huskies will face Gardiner in a semifinal match-up at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Topsham Fairgrounds.
In the win over Augusta, the Huskies had touchdowns runs from Dalton Cooper, Kyle LeDuc, Jacob Musica and Noah Larabee, along with a long touchdown pass from Weston Cooper to his brother Dalton.
The offensive line of Larabee, Anthony Radcliffe, Colby Nadeau, Jake Reeves, Declan Lay and Wilder Burns have been strong for Brunswick all year.
Defensively, Radcliffe, Lay and Sam Cassidy have been standouts.
