Sanford Regional Technical Center students in the Engineering Applications with Robotics program  were able to compete against each other using VEX robotics components one day last week. SRTC student services counselor Deanna Farrell said in the program theoretical academic content is blended with hands-on applications to maximize student learning. SRTC welcomed nearly 500 students from Kennebunk, Marshwood, Massabesic, Noble, Sanford, Wells and York high schools and Traip Academy in Kittery when school opened last week. SRTC offers 18 career and technical programs. COURTESY PHOTO/Sanford School Department
