Three men were hospitalized — one with life-threatening injuries — after a two-vehicle collision in Bath Tuesday.
The crash occured around 1:20 p.m. near the intersection of Middle Street and the southbound Leeman Highway on-ramp, and involved a GMC Sierra pickup truck and a Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV.
Lt. Robert Savary said one of the Jeep’s passengers was ejected and was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with life-threatening injuries.
Another person traveling in the Jeep was hospitalized with serious injuries. It was unclear whether he was another passenger or the driver.
A third person in the Jeep was uninjured.
The driver of the pickup was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The approach to the highway and a portion of Middle Street were closed for about three hours while police investigated.
No further information had been released as of 7 a.m. this morning.
