WATERVILLE — Area residents were part of the 478 seniors who graduated from Colby College in Waterville on May 21, receiving a bachelor of arts degree at the college’s 196th Commencement. Former Vice President Joe Biden was the guest speaker. The following locals were among the graduates.
Madeline M. Andrews, who majored in biology, attended Wells High School and is the daughter of Eric and Kathryn Andrews of Wells.
Jessica P. Batchelder, who majored in environmental science, attended Robert W Traip Academy and is the daughter of David Batchelder and Melissa Paly of Kittery Point.
Catherine A. Dunn, who majored in English, attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School and is the daughter of William and Gabrielle Dunn of Berwick.
Jenna E. Rumble, who majored in economics, attended York High School and is the daughter of Brennen an Elizabeth Rumble of York.
Maxwell E. Senechal, who majored in government, attended Bridgton Academy and is the son of Guy Senechal and Victoria Rogers of Saco.
Paige E. Shortsleeves, who majored in biology and sociology, attended Sacopee Valley High School and is the daughter of Scott and Johnna Shortsleeves of Parsonsfield.
