
He was born in Biddeford on Oct. 25, 1928, a son of Theophile and Marie (Arguin) Letendre. He was educated from Biddeford schools.
Arthur was employed by Saco Lowell Shops, Sullivan’s Service Station and retired from Bob’s Exxon in Saco.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Biddeford Saco Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed playing cards, meeting friends at McDonald’s, driving his cars and bikes, and spending time with his loved ones. Arthur touched the lives of many and will forever be remembered for his kind heart and always caring for others.
Arthur was predeceased by his wife Evangeline (Hevey) Letendre and by his sister Antoinette Letendre.
He is survived by his partner of 17 years Claire Dame, her daughter Carmen Gawronski and her husband Bob and their children Jennifer and Robert and her son Stephen Dame and his wife Debra and their children Samantha, Alexandria and Stephanie. He is also survived by his cousin Rita Gagnon, his godson Thomas Gagnon Sr. and his wife Bonnie, and his special friend Gisele Paquette.
Visiting hours will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, with a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
