
Taylor Shaw and Tait Nygaard each delivered three hits as the Morse High School baseball team edged past Mt. View, 9-7, in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference baseball action at Kelley Field on Friday.
Shaw and Nygaard doubled in the win, with Nygaard scoring twice and Shaw picking up an RBI and crossing the plate once. Parker Onorato, Jackson Walker, Chase Smith and Riley Lamarre each had two hits.
Smith earned the mound win, going five frames.
Colby Furrow and Riley Boulay were each 3- for- 4 for Mt. View.

RICHMOND 16- 16
The Bobcats rolled to an East- West Conference sweep on Saturday over the Tigers at Richmond.
In the second game, Brendan Emmons allowed just one hit in four innings, and the Bobcats (11-1) scored 12 first-inning runs.
Zach Small singled, tripled and launched a home run, while Nate Kendrick had two hits, including a double, Danny Stewart doubled twice and Emmons added three singles.
Dalton Gregoire had the lone hit for Forest Hills (3- 7).
In the opener, Small doubled three times as Richmond scored in all four of its at- bats in the five-inning affair.
Emmons tripled and singled, with Justin Vachon chipping in a pair of doubles.
Matt Rines tossed three scoreless frames for the mound win.
Aaron Moffitt doubled for the Tigers, while four pitchers combined on five strikeouts and six walks.
Richmond visits Buckfield on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Hunter Lohr pitched and hit the Eagles to a big KVAC road win at Augusta on Friday.
Mt. Ararat improved to 6-5 and is scheduled to host Camden Hills today at 4:15 p.m. Cony fell to 1-11.
Lohr allowed just two hits in going the distance on the mound with 10 strikeouts and three walks. At the dish, he ripped three singles as Mt. Ararat pounded out 10 hits.
Sam Alexander singled twice and drove in a run, while Kaileb Hawkes drove in the game’s first run with a sacrifice fly ball and added a big two-run double in a six-run Eagles seventh frame. Garrett Moody also doubled.
Kobbe Merfield pitched into the seventh inning for Cony, allowing four walks and striking out four. Mike Boivin and Taylor Heath each singled.

MESSALONSKEE 5
The host Eagles received a double and an RBI from Colby Dexter on Saturday for a KVAC win over Brunswick, which fell to 0- 11 and entertains Lawrence today at 4 p.m.
Zach Grant had a pair of hits and scored two runs for the Dragons.
Tyler Lewis picked up two hits for Messalonskee (4-8) in the win, and Parker Poulin went the distance on the mound with three strikeouts.

The Patriots tallied two unearned runs in the fifth frame for a Western Maine Conference win over Freeport on Saturday.
The Falcons are 3-8 and slated to visit Wells today at 4 p. m. Gray- New Gloucester improved to 5-7.
Tanner Mann and Jake Winchester each scored.
John Henry Villanueva pitched a three-hitter for the Patriots.
Shea Wagner went the distance for Freeport, allowing four hits.
Girls lacrosse
TOPSHAM — Paige Daigle had four goals and an assist to power Morse to a 10-7 KVAC victory over Mt. Ararat on Friday.
Isabella Monbouquette added a hat trick and two helpers for the Shipbuilders, with Amanda Gagne chipping in a pair of goals and three assists, and Noa Sreden picking up a goal.
Emily Welch paced Mt. Ararat with four tallies, with Shannon Harty pitching in two goals. Maddie Horrocks and Jessica Cloutier each scored a goal and dished out an assist.
Casi Perow had nine saves in the Eagles’ cage. Abby Sreden made her first varsity start in net for the Shipbuilders and turned away eight shots.
Morse improved to 7-2 and hosts Lincoln Academy today at 5 p.m. for Bath Area Youth Lacrosse night.
Mt. Ararat dropped to 1-8 and entertains Oxford Hills on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

The visiting Yachtsmen darted out to a 7-2 halftime lead and pulled away for a Western Maine Conference win over Freeport on Friday.
Josephine Stucker led the way for Falmouth (8-0) with four goals and an assist, while Sydney Bell tallied a hat trick.
Chloe Davidson paced Freeport with three goals.
The Falcons are 3-6 and host Lake Region on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Softball
RICHMOND — The Richmond softball team rolled to an East-West Conference doubleheader sweep on Saturday over Forest Hills.
The Bobcats (13-0) captured the opener, 12-1, and took the nightcap, 13- 1. Richmond, the top team in the Class D South Heal Point Standings, visits No. 2 Buckfield on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
In the opener, Caitlin Kendrick earned the mound win, striking out 10 and allowing six hits.
At the plate, Kaylee Williams had three hits, including a triple for Richmond. Meranda Martin singled and tripled, while Cassidy Harriman and Emily Douin each singled two times.
Forest Hills pitcher Caitlin Logston allowed 11 hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
Bryanne Lancaster earned her first mound win in the second game, tossing a four-hitter with one walk and seven punchouts.
Camryn Hurley cracked a home run and added two singles, while Sydney Underhill-Tilton had three hits, including a triple, and Harriman two singles and a double. Douin also singled and doubled.
Logston again pitched for Forest Hills with one strikeout, three walks and 13 hits. She also doubled twice at the plate.

Marissa Parks tossed a four- hit shutout and starred at the plate as the host Shipbuilders rolled in KVAC play on Friday in Bath.
Parks doubled, singled twice and drove in a game-high five runs, while Hope Faulkingham doubled, singled and picked up four RBIs. Paige Faulkingham had two hits, with Sierra Wallace ( RBI), Micailah Albertson, Olivia Potter and Mikayla Rose adding a hit each.
Morse scored two runs in the first, five in the second and six in the third to take control. Parks had four strikeouts and permitted two walks.

The Shipbuilders made it back- to- back wins on Saturday, scoring six runs in the third inning en route to the KVAC win.
Hope Faulkingham capped the big third frame with a three- run homer. She also doubled and singled in the victory. Parks drove in a pair of runs and singled twice, while Dory Kulis tripled, singled two times and had three RBIs. Potter (double, two RBIs), Rose (double), Albertson ( RBI), Wallace, Paige Faulkingham and Maddie Mitchell chipped in one hit each.
Kulis earned the mound win with 11 strikeouts, one walk and just one hit, a double by Waterville’s Madison Cloves.
Morse (9-3) visits Oceanside today at 4 p.m.

Megan Theriault tossed a two- hit shutout with seven strikeouts as the Blue Devils (9-4) downed the Dragons on Friday at Lewiston.
Brunswick received a single each from Shea Sullivan and Margaret Dickinson in the loss.
Emily Mousseau and Jordyn Rubin led Lewiston with two hits each.

Cari Hopkins pounded out three hits as the host Rams bounced the Eagles in KVAC play on Friday.
Mt. Ararat suffered its second straight defeat to fall to 8-3. The Eagles look to bounce back today at home against Camden Hills at 4:15 p.m.
Jamiee Coull drove in a pair of runs in the win for Cony, while Hopkins was solid on the mound, allowing five hits and striking out one.
Alana Weaver took the loss for Mt. Ararat on eight hits and three strikeouts.
Katelyn Cox homered for the Eagles, with Kristen Graffam picking up a double and an RBI. Weaver, Belle Benner and Holly Temple also singled.
