SANFORD — Karen MacNeill, author of Pieces That Fit: A Mother’s Journey Through Her Son’s Puzzling Diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome, will be at Goodall Memorial Library on Main Street in Sanford at 6 p.m. on May  10.

She was first inspired to write about her family’s experience during  Autism Awareness month in April 2014, when she wrote a post a day for thirty days.  She received so much love, support, and encouragement from those posts that she is now sharing her journey, hoping to reach a bigger audience so that others may have a better understanding of their own journey and struggles.

MacNeill will will talk about how to advocate for your child, and how to manage daily life as well as lifelong aspirations.
