Lisbon police are searching for a man they say broke into an apartment early Wednesday morning and threatened residents there with a gun.
According to a press release, at 12:33 a.m. police responded to a report that a suspect broke into an apartment at 374 Lisbon St. and threatened residents there with a firearm.
Lisbon police have an active arrest warrant for David C. Farnum on a charge of burglary and two counts of criminal threatening with a firearm. Police say the victims and Farnum are known to each other and there were no injuries. Farnum has fled the area and may be in or around Lewiston. At this time police do not believe there is a direct threat to the general public.
Farnum, 23, of Lisbon, is described as 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweater and jeans. Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of David Farnum should contact the Lisbon Police Department at (207) 353-2500.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department as well as Sabattus and Freeport police departments assisted in the search.
