SANFORD – The Sanford Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of fun activities for their 2017 Senior Series Program, “Old People know how to play!”
• Join the group for a Maple Syrup tour of Thurston and Peters Sugar Shack, Friday, March 31. Harry and Debbie will open the doors so we can enjoy something sweet to eat. Cost is $5 for transportation. Bus leaves will leave from the Mid-Town Mall parking lot at 10 a.m., returning around noon. Register by calling the Rec Dept.
• Plants your cup of tea? Bud Johnston will be honoring seniors with his expertise in plants of all kinds. Folks will plant a few seeds and see if we can grow a green thumb. Friday, April 14 at 10 a.m. at Springvale Nurseries greenhouse, 1280 Main St across from Bonanza Restaurant. Bring a chair and $5 to cover your cost. Please sign up by call the Rec Dept.
• Like to travel but not too far? Sanford Parks and Recreation heads to Wolfeboro, New Hampshire for a little shopping and lunch on your own. Leave from Sanford on April 28 at 10 a.m. and return at approx. 2:30. Cost is $5. Call Sanford Parks and Recreation to Register for any of these programs at 324-9130.
