
Marty made his living on the ocean for many years, lobstering and sword fishing. Marty was also a painter who restored homes in Wisconsin before returning to Maine, where he continued painting.
Marty was a story teller who kept you in stitches as he recounted details of his excursions. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed children. He always had a smile and a big hug for everyone.
Marty was predeceased by his father, Martin Joseph Wyman, Sr. He is survived by his daughter Emily Wyman of Green Bay, Wisconsin, his mother, Janice M. Wyman of Harpswell, his brother Scott Wyman and wife Michelle of Harpwell, his sister Lisa Wyman Poulicakos and her husband David of Harpswell, his nephews Brandon Wyman (and wife Sarah) and Logan Wyman, both of Harpswell and partner Elaine Buck of Bowdoinham along with her daughters, Kate Preston, Libby Rice, and Valerie Buck.
A memorial service will be held at Brackett Funeral Home on Thursday, March 23rd at 2:00pm followed by a gathering at Library Hall on Bailey Island.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Orr’s/Bailey Island Fire and Rescue or Harpswell Neck Fire and Rescue. Those who wish may leave a note of condolence to the family at www.brackettfuneralhome.c om.
