TOPSHAM — Oceanside rallied from a five-point fourth-quarter deficit for a 37-30 victory over Mt. Ararat in jayvee girls high school basketball action on Tuesday.
The Eagles (6-7) picked up the tempo after falling behind 11-3 in the opening quarter, rallying to 15-11 by halftime and taking a 26-21 lead in the third quarter.
But, Sara Dorr scored 11 points as the Mariners rallied. Kassidy Robinson chipped in eight points, and Oceanside made six free throws in the final minute for the win.
Ainsley Bryant scored a game-high 13 points for Mt. Ararat. Bryant also had five rebounds and four steals. Theresa Breed added eight points and five boards, and Cindy Conkling was solid on defense.
