SOUTH CHINA —Erskine Academy pulled away in the second half for a 48-33 victory over Morse in girls high school jayvee basketball play on Tuesday.
The Shipbuilders, who fell to 3-11, trailed 9-7, 16-14 and 32-26 at the quarter breaks.
Marija Medenica led Morse with 10 points, with Dory Kulis adding seven, and Eliza McKinney and Paige Faulkingham chipped in six apiece.
Kayla Harmon paced the Eagles with 14 points, followed by Liz Sugg with 11 and Alyssa Savage with eight.
At the free-throw line, Morse struggled to a 1-for-13 performance, while Erskine finished 6-of-11.
