YORK — Gray-New Gloucester took control in the second quarter Friday night and went on to a 48-38 victory against York in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball game.

The Patriots (13-1) used a 15-1 run in the second quarter to take a 25-15 halftime lead against the Wildcats (10-5).

Isabelle DeTroy had 14 points to lead Gray-New Gloucester. Skye Conley tossed in 11 points.

Nina Howe led York with 13 points.

GORHAM 68, SANFORD 40: Emily Esposito scored a game-high 24 points to go with four rebounds, four assists and four steals as the Rams (14-0) defeated the Spartans (6-8) at Gorham.

Mackenzie Holmes added 19 points and 10 rebounds for Gorham, which outscored Sanford 24-7 in the third quarter to take a 59-28 lead. Julia Allen and Megan O’Connell each scored eight points for the Spartans.

FREEPORT 52, ST. DOMINIC 25: Taylor Rinaldi scored eight of her game-high 16 points in the second quarter as the Falcons (11-3) downed the Saints (4-10) at Freeport.

Jessica Driscoll scored nine points, and Regan Lynch and Carolin Smith each added eight for Freeport, which led 22-4 after the first quarter.

Chloe Dwinell scored seven points to pace St. Dom’s.

SCARBOROUGH 58, MASSABESIC 55: Sophie Glidden scored 21 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead the Red Storm (12-1) over the Mustangs (3-11) at Waterboro.

Glidden scored all 12 of the Red Storm’s points in the third quarter, helping to maintain a 43-40 lead. Madison Blanche and Brooke Malone combined for 21 points for Scarborough.

Kenzy Ouellette led Massabesic with 25 points. Skylar Renaud had 14 and Emily Stinson 10.

GREELY 65, MARSHWOOD 44: Anna DeWolfe scored a game-high 25 points and the Rangers (13-1) used a 20-11 run in the second quarter to open a 38-23 lead against the Hawks (11-3) at South Berwick.

Isabel Porter scored 15 points and Brooke Obar added 13 for Greely. Elora Montgomery scored nine points, and Miranda Montgomery added eight points and 10 rebounds for Marshwood.

WINDHAM 62, PORTLAND 56: Meghan Hoffses scored a game-high 25 points, hitting 5 of 6 3-pointers as the Eagles (4-10) edged the Bulldogs (0-14) at Windham.

Hannah Talon scored 17 points with nine rebounds and Mya Manette added 13 points for Windham, which led 50-46 going into the fourth quarter.

Reagan Brown had 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead Portland. Nettie Walsh chipped in with 15 points.

FALMOUTH 43, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 42: Adelaide Cooke hit two free throws with six seconds remaining – the last of three lead changes in the final minute – to lift the Yachtsmen (7-8) over the Raiders (7-7) at Fryeburg.

Abigail Ryan scored 12 points to lead the Yachtsmen.

Mackenzie Buzzell and Nicole Bennett combined for 24 points for Fryeburg.

WESTBROOK 54, LEAVITT 50: Mikayla VanZandt had 16 points and 12 rebounds, and the Blue Blazes (4-10) overcame a 31-23 deficit through three quarters to defeat the Hornets (7-6) at Westbrook.

Julia Symbol had 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and Avery Tucker added 13 points for Westbrook, which scored 31 points in the fourth quarter.

Alexandra Belaire had 17 points with five 3-pointers for Leavitt.

YARMOUTH 36, CAPE ELIZABETH 28: Alison Clark scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Clippers (10-4) over the Capers (0-14) at Yarmouth.

Cory Langenbach added 11 points.

Erin O’Rourke scored 13 points and Brooke Harvey finished with eight for the Capers.

BRUNSWICK 65, BIDDEFORD 31: Sabrina Armstrong scored a game-high 16 points with five rebounds and four assists, and the Dragons (12-3) outscored the Tigers (1-13) 20-3 in the third quarter at Brunswick.

Madeline Suhr had 12 points, nine rebounds and five assists for Brunswick, which led 51-19 after three quarters. Grace Martin paced Biddeford with 10 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 46, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 25: Emily Greenlee scored eight of her game-high 17 points in the third quarter as the Seagulls (7-5) downed the Panthers (5-8) at Old Orchard Beach.

Greenlee knocked down four 3-pointers and Kaitlyn Cote added 11 points for Old Orchard, which outscored NYA 19-4 in the third quarter to take a 39-13 lead. Katherine Larson scored nine points to pace the Panthers.

CAMDEN HILLS 55, MT. ARARAT 39: Charlotte Messer scored 11 of her game-high 21 points in the first half, and the Windjammers (8-5) used an 18-11 run in the second quarter to open a 26-16 halftime lead against the Eagles (2-11) at Rockport.

Lauren Miller added 10 points for Camden Hills.

Sabrina Paetow led Mt. Ararat with 13 points. Nikki Bradstreet tossed in 10.

OXFORD HILLS 51, GARDINER 43: Maighread Laliberte scored 14 points to lead the Vikings (13-1) over Gardiner (10-4) at South Paris.

Erin Morton also had 11 points for Oxford Hills. Lauren Chadwick scored 14 for Gardiner.

WINSLOW 60, LINCOLN ACADEMY 48: Heather Kervin had 19 points and 12 rebounds to power the Black Raiders (11-2) over Lincoln Academy (9-5) at Newcastle.

Weslee Littlefield added 12 points and five assists for Winslow. Brie Wajer poured in 24 points for Lincoln.

CHEVERUS 50, THORNTON ACADEMY 43: Abby Cavallaro scored five of her 10 points in overtime to lift the Stags (9-3) over the Trojans (8-6) at Portland.

Emme Poulin finished with 10 points, and Kayla Malmquist, who had eight points for Cheverus, hit a 3-pointer with 30 seconds left in regulation to make it 41-41 and force overtime.

Cavallaro knocked down 3 of 4 free throws to help Cheverus outscore Thornton 9-2 in overtime.

LAWRENCE 80, CONY 32: Five players finished in double figures as Lawrence (9-5) beat Cony (0-14) at Fairfield.

Morgan Boudreau led the Bulldogs with 15 points; Brooklynn Lambert added 12. Miranda Lambert, Hunter Mercier and Keegan Alley all had 10.

Sidney Avery led Cony with 13 points.

MESSALONSKEE 67, BREWER 50: Sophie Holmes scored 29 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the Eagles (13-0) over Brewer (3-11) at Oakland.

McKenna Brodeur added 12 points and five steals, and Holmes grabbed 10 rebounds for Messalonskee. Courtney Pearson led Brewer with 17 points.

RICHMOND 45, RANGELEY 18: Sydney Tilton scored 26 points and MacKenzie Abbott added nine as the Bobcats (15-0) cruised past the Lakers (11-3) at Rangeley.

Meranda Martin added six points for Richmond).

Natasha Haley scored nine points to lead Rangeley.

BRUNSWICK 3, YORK/TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Jenna Brooks finished with two goals and an assist, and Beth Labbe added a goal and an assist to lead the Dragons (8-8) over the Wildcats (8-8) at Brunswick.
